  • In 2012, a series of discussions and consultations were held among scientists, scholars and artists on the topic of founding a new Academy.
  • A final decision was made on the composition of the founders.
  • Discussions were held and views exchanged on the name and principles of the Academy.
  • Preliminary discussions were held on the nature and type of honors to be awarded to Academy members.
  • Discussions were held and final decisions were made about Academy medals to be awarded to distinguished persons in various fields of science, technology, and the arts.
  • Finally, all the previous discussions on the principles, preliminary rules and procedures of the academy were finalized.
  • Eurasian Academy was registered by the Ministry of Justice of the Azerbaijan Republic with registration number 1112-Q42-3103 on September 28, 2012.
  • On March 12, 2013, the Ministry of Justice presented the certificate for the newly registered Eurasian Academy (Baku, Azerbaijan Republic) and an extract from the state register to one of the founders of the Academy, the founder of Khazar University and chairman of its Board of Directors and Trustees, Professor Hamlet Isaxanli.
  • On May 14th, 2013, Prof. Hamlet Isaxanli held a meeting at Khazar University in Baku, Azerbaijan on behalf of Eurasian Academy to make plans for a competition that will be held in the coming months to design a prize to be awarded to new Academy members. After a detailed discussion about sculpture and the specifics of designing medals, the participants made a decision to announce a competition by the end of May for the best sketch and/or model of an award and five medals inscribed with historical and famous figures of art and science.
  • The competition opened on June 1st, 2013 and closed on September 15th, 2013.
  • The winner of the competition to design sketches and a model for a trophy for Eurasia Academy, held from June 1st to September 15th, 2013, was Afag Karimova. A. Karimova began her work as a textile artist (concentrating on carpet making) in 1985. She worked as a Senior Designer at Azerkhalcha in Baku until 1995, then as a Senior Designer and Division Manager at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences’ Nizami Ganjavi Literature Museum named until 2004. More than 50 of her works are displayed in museums, both in Azerbaijan and abroad in countries such as the USA, France, Turkey, Spain, and in private collections. She has been a member of the Azerbaijan Artists’ Union since 1997. She is currently working as an instructor and as the Director of the Carpet Museum at Khazar University.
  • Nailakhanim Isayeva and seamstress Matanat Asgarova designed ceremonial dress for Academy members. They completed and realized their plans throughout 2013.
  • In 2014 and 2015, detailed plans were made for the manufacture of the trophies and medals.
  • The manufacture was completed in September 2015 and plans were made for the Eurasian Academy Opening Ceremony. 
  • The Official Opening and Eurasian Legend Awards Ceremony of Eurasian Academy was held on January 29, 2016. At the ceremony, Professor Ali Javan was elected as the first member.  
  • The Second Official Assembly was held on November 17, 2016, during which Robert Hossein and Türkan Şoray were elected as members and received the Eurasian Legend Award.
